Fun fact
Did you know
that dogs have only 1,706 taste buds, whereas humans have around 9,000? Dog's
taste preferences are innate, but are also affected by experience, including
prenatal experience. If a dog is not exposed to novel foods early in life, he
may develop preferences for familiar foods and avoid novel foods.
